Alabama RB Justice Haynes confirms preference to run over defenders after highlight against Mizzou

Alabama running back Justice Haynes isn’t just any running back. He runs with physicality and has some qualities that somewhat resemble a defender. In his most recent showing, he had one of his best performances of the year in the 34-0 win over Alabama.
And that level of physicality was on full display as he powered on the ground with 8 carries for 79 yards and 1 touchdown. He averaged just under 10 yards per rushing attempt. Haynes delivered one of the highlights of the game on his 4th-quarter TD run, running through a Mizzou defender.
Haynes was asked by a reporter if it was more fun to make a guy miss or run over a guy. He kept his response short and to the point with no hesitation.
“Run over a guy,” he responded.
Here’s a look at one of Haynes’ most dominant plays from the game and his reaction to it:

Haynes was an essential piece in what was a much-needed win for the Crimson Tide, who have been shaky and doubted since the unforgettable, 40-35 loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores this season that still, no one can stop talking about. And to do it in shutout fashion against a ranked team made it even better.
Haynes and the Crimson Tide will aim to build upon this as they face the LSU Tigers on Nov. 9.
