As is the case late in the college football season, there are many players suffering from the usual nicks and bruises.
Alabama is not immune to this in the slightest. There are multiple athletes on Nick Saban’s team currently battling some sort of physical ailment.
On Thursday, Saban delved into the current injury situation for the squad. Linebacker Keith Holcombe was helped off the field on Tuesday with an apparent knee problem. He came back the following day with a knee brace — and participated in practice:
“From an injury standpoint, everybody was back in practice today. Keith Holcombe practiced today, Cam Robinson practiced today, so we’ve got some guys that are nicked up but nobody that couldn’t go out there and practice and get their turns.”
Starting corner Marlon Humphrey was a full participant — and didn’t appear hindered by an existing hamstring injury. Fellow defensive back Tony Brown also looked healthy in the training session.
Receiver ArDarius Stewart was limited in practice. Saban offered a quick reason for Stewart’s lack of involvement:
“There is no reason for that. He’s got a pulled muscle, and he’s limited in practice, so I don’t know of any reason for it. And if I had a reason for it, you think I would tell you?”
