After a $107 million offseason renovation, Bryant-Denny Stadium is ready to make its 2020 debut.
On Saturday, Alabama plays its home opener when it hosts Texas A&M. And for the limited fans that will be in attendance, they’ll get to see some of the improvements made to the stadium, which now has a capacity of 100,077, although less than 20,000 fans will be there for the game.
Some of the changes will be less noticeable by the fans on gameday, though, and were made to make things better behind the scenes. However, media members were given a tour to see these improvements on Thursday by Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne.
“When recruits come in and when fans come in on tours, we want to pop,” Byrne told the media. “And I think everybody would agree that this pops. It shows you the excitement of Alabama football, of Alabama athletics, and it shows you a lot of the history.”
Before Alabama and Texas A&M kick off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS, here’s a look at some of the improvements made at Bryant-Denny Stadium, courtesy of various media members on Twitter:
