Alabama remains atop ESPN’s SEC power rankings but has a new challenger

Alabama cleared a major hurdle in the SEC West with a hard-fought 10-0 victory over LSU on Saturday, but another game looms large.

The Crimson Tide remained No. 1 in ESPN’s SEC  power rankings following the victory, but Auburn is nipping at their heels in the No. 2 spot. The Iron Bowl could once again play a major role in the division race.

Texas A&M and LSU both suffered disappointing losses, but they remain third and fourth in the rankings, respectively. Rounding out the Top 5 is Arkansas, which had a dominant win against Florida over the weekend.

2. Auburn (7-2, 5-1)

3. Texas A&M (7-2, 4-2)

4. LSU (5-3, 3-2)

5. Arkansas (6-3, 2-3)

6. Florida (6-2, 4-2)

8. Ole Miss (4-5, 1-4)

9. Georgia (5-4, 3-4)

10. Mississippi State (4-5, 2-3)
