What a day Monday was on the recruiting trail for the Alabama men’s basketball team.
First, the Crimson Tide landed a commitment from 5-star forward Brandon Miller, who became their second 5-star recruit in the 2022 class. But head coach Nate Oats and the Tide weren’t done there.
Later in the day, 4-star forward Noah Clowney announced that he was also committing to Alabama. Clowney, who currently attends Dorman High School in Roebuck, S.C., is the No. 62 player in the 2022 class, as well as the No. 9 power forward and the No. 1 recruit from South Carolina, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Clowney announced his decision with a ceremony on CBS Sports HQ:

Alabama now has 3 players in its 2022 class: Clowney, Miller and 5-star guard Jaden Bradley.
What was it that made Clowney decide to commit to the Crimson Tide?
“They play a fast play-style,” Clowney told 247Sports.com. “A lot of people say it’s just guards running up and down but from being there and watching and doing my own research, it’s been that way because of the circumstances they’ve been in and the coaches have expressed to me that I will be a part of the offense there. I like them, it’s great, the place is amazing.”
Oats has turned Alabama’s men’s hoops team into a talented program, and it seems that is going to continue into the future with all the strong high school players who will soon be coming to the university.
