Alternate uni-verse: Picking best, worst college football jerseys in Week 7
By Jason Hall

Every week is fashion week in college football.
Week 7 provided another glimpse at new uniforms and modified ones. Some worked. Some didn’t. And some made you want to shield your eyes.
Here’s a look at the good, the bland and the downright ugly from Week 7.
The Good
UCF

Way to go, UCF. After weeks of making our list for having bland unis, the Knights finally did something cool. These helmets look awesome and bring a nice change of pace to the generic threads we’ve seen week in and week out.
Maryland

Maryland is another team that made a nice change in Week 7. The Terps have consistently had some of the ugliest uniforms in college football. But these primary black unis look great.

Sometimes you just can’t beat tradition. There’s something about that Miami swag that will always look great, even during a disappointing effort against UNC.
MTSU

Those. Helmets. Basically any team can look cool with a chrome helmet, even one with as traditionally generic as MTSU. These are a serious game changer.

Again, points are rewarded for the awesome helmet. That alone gives these Kansas road unis a few extra points.
LSU

LSU has arguably one of the best uniforms in the SEC. What’s great about Saturday’s threads is they stuck with tradition and went a bit of a different route. The jerseys are textbook, while the white helmets provide a nice change of pace.
Clemson

Gotta love these orange Clemson unis. Perhaps they even provided a bit of luck as the Tigers managed to survive a woule-be upset against NC State and keep their undefeated record in tact.
The Bland
Georgia State

Nothing really stands out about Georgia State’s uniform. This is just so plain. Something about this just screams “Pop Warner team.”
Akron

Generic. That’s the best way to describe this. It’s not good because daring enough to take a chance and fail. It’s just generic.
The Ugly
Syracuse

Ugh. Another strange Syracuse uniform makes our weekly list. It’s almost so ugly that it looks good. Or maybe it goes in the opposite direction of Akron and deserves credit for being “out there” and taking a chance. But, at the end of the day, it’s more ugly than anything and is questionable at best.
