Andy Reid is preparing to take part in another Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs have appeared in 6 of the last 7 Super Bowls and have won 3 so far. This year, the team will face the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Ahead of that rematch, one member of the Chiefs has been coming along nicely in his rookie season.

Xavier Worthy was drafted out of Texas in the 1st round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The speedy receiver got off to a slow start in 2024 but has been a key contributor during the playoffs. Through 2 postseason games, Worthy has caught 11 passes for 130 yards and 1 touchdown.

Reid appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd on Wednesday and heaped praise upon the rookie.

“Probably that and a little bit more,” Reid said when asked if Worthy has been what he envisioned. “He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do plus a little more. He’s willing to do everything.”

Reid also mentioned that the presence of Hollywood Brown has been a help to Worthy as Brown is also a thin, speedy receiver.

So far in his rookie season, Worthy has caught 59 passes for 638 yards and 6 TDs. The AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills was one of Worthy’s best games of the season as the rookie caught 6 passes for 85 yards and 1 TD.

With Worthy impressing his coach, don’t be surprised to see the rookie get plenty of chances in the Super Bowl.
