Another one? Refs throw flag for phantom Miss State block that negated TD

After a first-quarter potential fumble by Alabama RB Damien Harris wasn’t reviewed, fans across the country complained that the SEC was biased toward the Crimson Tide.

They got another chance to complain in the second quarter, when a phantom block in the back penalty wiped out a Mississippi State touchdown.

As you can see in the video below, WR Deddrick Thomas doesn’t even touch an Alabama defender, but gets flagged for a touchdown-negating penalty:

To make matters worse, the Bulldogs put the ball in the end zone again a couple of plays later, but that one was brought back due to a delay of game (a penalty that was correctly called).

Referees and the SEC offices are going to have some questions to answer next week.
