Arkansas’ 2018 season is off to a nightmarish start.
After defeating Eastern Illinois in Week 1, the Razorbacks have suffered back-to-back losses to Colorado State on the road and North Texas at home.
While many fans are ready to throw in the towel on Arkansas’ season, athletic director Hunter Yurachek is not.
According to wholehogsports.com, Yurachek told fans that Arkansas will refuse to settle during an appearance at the Little Rock Touchdown Club.
“I share in your disappointment,” said Yurachek. “I’m also disappointed in the way our football season has started this season. But I can promise you one thing, Chad Morris, John Chavis, Joe Craddock and our other full-time coaches and the 125 players in that locker room, whatever your level of disappointment is, I promise you that their disappointment level is much, much greater.”
“However low you think you are, they’re a lot lower than you are.”
Sunday morning after Arkansas’ 44-17 loss to North Texas, Yurachek posted a photo of the sunrise on Twitter. He was asked about this picture at the Little Rock Touchdown Club, and he said that it symbolized a lot more than just a cool picture.
“I just wanted to put in a little perspective that the sun came up (Sunday) morning,” Yurachek said. “Everything’s going to be OK with our football program. It’s not where any of us wanted to be right now, but we’re going to get it there.”

Several fans were heard booing during Saturday’s home blowout, and Yurachek took issue with it.
“We live in the greatest country in the world. You buy a ticket to come to a sporting event, you have the right to respond on how that sporting event is going in your opinion. Not the way I would respond,” said Yurachek.
“For those that booed, think of your son or your daughter, or your grandson or your granddaughter on that field and see if that’s the way you want to respond.”
Arkansas has a chance to shock the college football world on Saturday when they open up conference play on the road at No. 9 Auburn. Who knows, if they can somehow get a win over a top 10 team, maybe the slow start can be forgiven. But with their next three games coming against top 25 opponents, the Razorbacks may see it get worse before it gets better.
