Sam Pittman has hired a new co-defensive coordinator.
Marcus Woodson will be joining the Arkansas staff after spending the last 3 seasons as Florida State’s defensive backs coach and defensive passing game coordinator.
The news was made by official by the University on Wednesday afternoon.
In addition to a successful stint with the Seminoles, Woodson also has a strong SEC background.
He played at Ole Miss from 1999-2002 and also spent 2 seasons on Auburn’s staff as a defensive backs coach.
Woodson also has stops at Memphis, Fresno State, and Charleston Southern on his coaching resume.
Arkansas finished its 2022 season at 7-6, including an overtime win over Kansas in the Liberty Bowl.
But the defense struggled mightily in that game, allowing 53 points and 544 passing yards.
