An Arkansas assistant will be taking his talents to the next level.

Razorbacks defensive line coach Rory Segrest, who just completed his second season in Fayetteville as the team’s defensive line and specialists coach, will once again be the Philadelphia Eagles defensive line coach.

Segrest has a sparkling track record at the college and pro levels.

He helped the Arkansas defense rank 2nd in the SEC and 12th in the FBS at stopping the run in each of his two seasons in Fayetteville.

He’s also quite accustomed to making an impact on the pro level, and more specifically with the Eagles organization. In his first stint as the team’s D-line coach in 2009 and 2010, the Eagles’ front ranked 2nd and 4th, respectively, in the NFL in sacks by defensive linemen.

Segrest came to Arkansas after his second stint on the Samford coaching staff, where he was the team’s defensive line coach and special teams coordinator from 2011-13.
