The good start to the season for Arkansas just got better as 2020 three-star linebacker prospect Catrell Wallace just announced his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks on Twitter.
A product of Bryant High School – about three hours southeast of Fayetteville – Wallace is the No. 42 OLB in the class and the No. 6 player in the state of Arkansas, per 247Sports Composite.
Committing to the Razorbacks over Oklahoma State and Ole Miss, Wallace attended Arkansas’ Junior Day on March 10, 2018. The Razorbacks extended him an offer in October and he took an unofficial visit to campus on April 6 for the annual Red-White spring game.
The 16th commit for Arkansas in the 2020 cycle, their class now ranks No. 24 nationally and No. 12 in the SEC. Looking to improve a defense that allowed 34.8 PPG in 2018 (108th in America), Chad Morris and his staff have prioritized the linebacker position on the recruiting trail. In addition to Wallace, Arkansas has received verbal pledges from four-star Martavius French and three-stars Jashaud Stewart and Drew Francis.
Fresh off a season-opening win over Portland State, 20-13, the Razorbacks travel to Oxford to face Ole Miss at 7:30 PM ET on Saturday.
