Arkansas added a young quarterback to its 2025 roster on Thursday morning.

The Razorbacks are expected to sign former Florida State quarterback Trever Jackson out of the transfer portal, according to a report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz. Jackson was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2024 and spent 1 season in Tallahassee before entering the transfer portal this spring.

Arkansas had an opening in its quarterback depth chart after true freshman Madden Iamaleava left for UCLA in stunning fashion earlier this week.

Jackson will provide immediate depth behind returning starter Taylen Green this fall. Arkansas also has 2 other scholarship quarterbacks on the roster: KJ Jackson and true freshman Grayson Wilson.

Jackson, an Orlando native, was a highly-rated prospect in his recruiting class. He was the No. 391 overall player and the No. 26 quarterback in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 54 player from the state of Florida.

Jackson did not see time under center for the Noles last season and opted to enter the transfer portal after going through spring camp.

Jackson would be the 27th transfer to sign with Arkansas so far this offseason. The transfer class ranks No. 16 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
