Arkansas’ leading scorer JD Notae to miss SEC opener, another player suspended
Arkansas will be shorthanded as it opens SEC play this evening against Mississippi State.
Most notably, leading scorer JD Notae will be sidelined with an undisclosed illness.
Notae, a 6-2, 190-pound senior guard, is averaging 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game for the Razorbacks,
Additionally, Eric Musselman announced that Kamani Johnson had been suspended from the program indefinitely.
JD Notae will miss today’s game due to “illness,” according to a news release. Kamani Johnson has been indefinitely suspended.

Johnson had appeared in 7 games for Arkansas and was averaging 3.4 points and 3 rebounds per game.
The 6-7, 235-pound junior forward had to transferred to the Razorbacks from Arkansas-Little Rock, where he averaged 11 points and nearly 7 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
Arkansas, which has not played since defeating Elon 81-55 on Dec. 21, is 10-2 on the season.
