Arkansas received some fantastic news on Tuesday — as all-conference OL Frank Ragnow decided to bypass the NFL in favor of returning for his senior season.

He will without a doubt be the top returning offensive lineman on the squad, and will likely be a Preseason All-American in 2017. It’s a major turn of events for head coach Bret Bielema and his staff.

While Ragnow announced the news to return, it didn’t come without a bit of fun.

The offensive lineman texted his quarterback Austin Allen — telling him that he was leaving Fayetteville in order to enter the 2017 NFL Draft. Suffice it to say, but this didn’t go over well with the signal-caller — as he told WholeHogSports:

“I was pissed. I didn’t talk to him all day. Didn’t say one word to him. I was just joking with him. No matter what he did, I would’ve supported him. I’m just glad he’s coming back for another year.”

Allen then discussed the significance of having Ragnow back in the fold:

“Just having him come back, he’s one if not the best player on our team right now and it’s huge for our offense and the whole team. (It’s) huge. He’s out there making calls. He can get everyone doing the right thing out there. He can tell the right tackle what to do, the guards, he calls out the Mike. He does a lot of things out there to go along with being the best center in college football in my mind. It’s a five-star guy coming back for us and it’s the biggest recruit we can get.”
