Arkansas shares injury update on Adou Thiero ahead of Texas game

Arkansas will be without Adou Thiero against Texas on Wednesday night. The team said it’s not currently known when the junior forward will return to action.
The Razorbacks shared the announcement on social media hours before tipoff against the Longhorns. Thiero hyperextended his knee in the Mizzou game on Saturday. While surgery is not expected, Arkansas does not have a timetable for Thiero’s return to action.

Thiero has made 26 starts for John Calipari’s squad this season. He is the Razorbacks’ leading scorer, averaging 15.6 points per game and 6 rebounds. Thiero played 25 minutes in the 92-85 win over Mizzou, scoring 11 points.
The Thiero update is tough news for an Arkansas team fighting to make the NCAA Tournament. On Wednesday morning, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi listed the Razorbacks as a “Last Four In” team at No. 44 overall.
Following the game against Texas (9 p.m. ET, ESPN2), Arkansas has remaining conference games against South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State before the SEC Tournament.
