There was a scary moment in the second quarter of Arkansas’ Liberty Bowl win over Kansas State on Saturday.
Wide receiver Dominique Reed left the game on a stretcher after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit going for a first down on a third-down reception. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd before leaving the field and heading to the hospital.
The good news is he was able to return to the stadium before the game ended and celebrate the win with his teammates, Bret Bielema reported after the game.
Bret Bielema said Dominique Reed was back at the stadium and with the team in the locker room. "He is alive and well…smiling."

Reed finished the year with 27 catches for 520 yards and six touchdowns. He had only one catch in the Liberty Bowl, the catch that led to his unfortunate injury.
There is no word to the extent of Reed’s injury at this point. It is just good to hear he was able to celebrate with his team and return to the stadium and that the injury was not anything too severe.
