Army football doesn’t move the needle like it did, say, 75 years ago.

But in this wild and wacky 2024 season that got a little crazier in Week 5 — just check out the scene in Tuscaloosa from Saturday night — Army is doing just that. It’s moving the needle, because it’s simply continuing to win football games.

The Black Knights easily brushed aside Temple, 42-14, on Thursday night in Philadelphia, improving to 4-0 on the season. But the 4 wins this year are only half the story, because Army has now won 8 in a row overall going back to 2023, which ties the Black Knights with Missouri for the longest active win streak in the FBS.

Senior quarterback Bryson Daily rushed for 3 touchdowns in the win and, naturally, he only threw the ball 6 times and completed 2 passes all night.

Army now stands alone with Missouri, which was idle in Week 5 and heads to College Station for a Week 6 showdown against Texas A&M. Meanwhile, Army stays on the road in Week 6 with a matchup at Tulsa, where the Black Knights will try for their 9th straight victory.

Duke, after its comeback victory over North Carolina on Saturday, is right behind Army and Missouri on the FBS win streak list with 7 victories in a row.
