Social media exploded during Saturday, due in large part to two college football games.
The Tennessee-Florida game and TCU-Texas Tech game were going on simultaneously and provided plenty of excitement for college football fans. That excitement changed to dread for Vols and Red Raider fans, though, as those teams fell in heartbreakers.

Everyone and their mothers have told some version of the DirecTV commercial joke. But after Tennessee blew another big lead in the second half, this Twitter user made one of the better iterations of the “cable” joke.

Maybe Texas Tech’s center is trying to move to long snapper, but even this try would be too far for a punt.

Also from that Texas Tech game, TCU came back to avoid the upset on this tipped touchdown reception. Of the 107 points scored in this game, this touchdown was the best.

Louisiana-Monroe couldn’t upset Alabama. But the Warhawks may have unearthed bad memories of Tim Tebow for Crimson Tide fans on this jump pass by their punter.

Oh, Butch. Nothing went right in Tennessee’s loss to the Gators, even though the Vols coach was clearly thinking this potential game-winning field goal was good.
