According to 247 Sports, five of the nation’s top 10 recruiting classes hail from the SEC.

But none of those are Vanderbilt.

While it seems like the Commodores  are headed in the right direction under Derek Mason, Vanderbilt still ranks 13th in the conference in recruiting ahead of only Missouri. But there will be some impressive prospects headed to Nashville in 2016.

Defense is Vanderbilt’s strong suit. It finished 30th in the country in 2015, allowing 143 yards on the ground and 207 yards through the air per game.

The Commodores’ biggest recruit might provide immediate help. Four-star CB Joejuan Williams is the 15th-ranked CB in the nation out of Hendersonville, Tenn.

On the offensive side, three-star center Sean Auwae and three-star QB Deuce Wallace are the most notable names.
