Auburn and South Carolina’s mascots hit the New York Stock Exchange

For those that had any doubt, it’s time to sell.

The New York Stock Exchange invited 4 college athletic mascots — 2 from the SEC — to ring the bell on Wednesday. Let’s hope the market fares better than the programs that were represented did in 2020: Auburn, South Carolina, Baylor and Syracuse.

All are in rebuilding mode. Two have new head coaches. None are expected to make much of an impact this season after winning just 11 football games combined last season.

Auburn was represented by Aubie. South Carolina was represented by Cocky. Bruiser from Baylor and Otto from Syracuse were also in attendance. Watch them ring in the day of trading here:

The mascots were joined by Corey Moss, who is the CEO of Collegiate Licensing Company. CLC was founded by former Tennessee coach Bill Battle. Yet Smokey was no where to be seen.

The appearances were made to promote College Colors Day on Sept. 3.
