It’s a return to the portal for Scott. He entered last year, but decided to return to Auburn instead of transferring out.
Scott is looking to bounce back from an ACL injury in the summer of 2024. In 2023, he made 4 regular-season appearances and saw action in the Music City Bowl. Scott logged 2 tackles in his limited action during the 2023 season.
Auburn signed Scott out of Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Georgia. As a prospect, Scott was rated 4-stars, the No. 31 player in the Peach State, No. 33 cornerback and No. 321 recruit overall in the Class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Scott picked up scholarship offers from 39 programs in his original recruitment.
While Scott’s departure impacts AU’s depth at cornerback, the Tigers are set to return starting cornerbacks Kayin Lee and Jay Crawford. Auburn has also added Raion Strader via the portal.
