Auburn has officially completed its signing of 5-star quarterback Deuce Knight, staving off efforts from Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss to flip the prospect’s commitment at the last minute.
Knight, who played out his college career at George County High School in Lucedale, Mississippi, has certainly changed his mind before, flipping his commitment from Notre Dame to Auburn back in October.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No. 4 quarterback for the Class of 2025.
He had a spectacular final senior season at George County, throwing for 2,082 yards and 24 touchdowns with 5 interceptions. He also did good work on the ground, rushing for 450 yards and 9 touchdowns that he added to that stat line.

He ends his high school football career with a 57% completion rate, passing for 5,618 yards and 50 touchdowns. Knight will be an asset to Auburn on the ground as he also reflected over that time frame with a total of 1,282 yards and 31 touchdowns.
It will be interesting to see how he ultimately factors into the Tigers’ quarterback room as the team has especially struggled at the position over recent years, going through the likes of Payton Thorne and others who have been inconsistent.
At this point, Auburn has the No. 6 recruiting class in the country per the 247 Sports Composite. We’ll see how the Tigers finish out the Early Signing Period, but getting Knight’s signature was a top priority.
