Auburn defensive back Champ Anthony was carted off the field against Arkansas on Saturday after suffering an apparent knee injury.
The ESPN broadcast didn’t show a replay of the injury due to the severity of it, with reports saying that it happened “away from the ball”.
WIAT-TV’s Arielle Schaefer posted video of players on the Auburn sideline walking to the cart in support of their teammate:

Anthony, a former JUCO transfer, entered Saturday’s game with 12 tackles. In 2023, his first season with Auburn, he appeared in all 13 games, posting 5 tackles.
Anthony, moments prior, had laid a massive hit on Arkansas wide receiver Andrew Armstrong. Armstrong was shaken up but would eventally return to the field.
Auburn and Arkansas ended the first quarter in a scoreless tie, but the thoughts of Tigers (and Razorbacks) players will be with Anthony in hopes that he makes a quick recovery from an injury that seems quite severe.
