Auburn LB T.J. Neal, a graduate transfer from Illinois, wasn’t happy with his playing time (or lack thereof) in Auburn’s season opener.
Neal didn’t record a statistic in Saturday night’s loss against Clemson and took to Twitter afterward to express his displeasure.
He apologized for the tweets and deleted them, which seems to have satisfied Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele:
“That has no effect on playing (time),” defensive coordinator Kevin Steele said on Neal’s tweets on Monday.
Neal recorded 109 tackles, 14 of which went for a loss, last year for Illinois.
