Auburn is building a monster of a recruiting class for the 2025 cycle. That class got even better on Thursday as the Tigers successfully flipped a talented Georgia Tech commit.
According to Hayes Fawcett with On3, 3-star WR Sam Turner has flipped from Georgia Tech to Auburn. Turner is a standout WR for Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, GA and his proximity to Georgia Tech makes this flip even more impressive for the Tigers.
“God is the Greatest! #1186,” said Turner.

The talented prospect caught 56 passes for 903 yards and 6 TDs as a junior in 2023. Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, Turner is the No. 76 WR in the class and the No. 56 prospect out of Georgia. Turner is a multi-sport athlete, also excelling in baseball and basketball. The WR committed to Georgia Tech back in June but visited with BYU and Auburn after that.
After visiting with Auburn, the WR has changed his mind. Before his initial commitment, Miami, Georgia, Auburn, and others showed interest.
Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class is impressive. The team has the No. 3 class in the nation, behind only Ohio State and Alabama. The class is headlined by 1 5-star and a whopping 17 4-star prospects. Turner’s commitment is important, though, considering the team only has 1 other WR committed currently.
It will be interesting to see how the Tigers continue to build for the future.
