The Auburn Tigers are having themselves a pretty good weekend.
With many elite recruits on campus for Big Cat Weekend, they’ve already secured a commitment from four-star receiver Eli Stone. Later, they got their first commitment of 2017, and it’s a big one.

That’s five-star offensive tackle Calvin Ashley, who committed to the Tigers on Saturday. The rising junior from Orlando, Fla. is the first player to commit to Auburn for the 2017 class. He picked the Tigers over offers from just about every elite program in the country, including Alabama, Florida State, Florida, Ohio State and more.
The 247sports industry composite ranks Ashley, who stands 6-foot-7 and 307 pounds, as the No. 4 recruit in his class. There’s obviously still a lot of time until National Signing Day 2017, but if Ashley sticks with the Tigers he could be a major piece for them in the future. That prospect has offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee shouting for joy.
Warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Eaaaaggglllllllllllllleeeeeee!
