Auburn K Daniel Carlson opens up about his recent marriage proposal

Last week was a busy one for Auburn K Daniel Carlson. In addition to attending SEC Media Days, he proposed to his girlfriend and is now happily engaged.

Carlson, who is no stranger to high-pressure situations on the football field, was understandably nervous before popping the big question to Katherine Barker.

Carlson told AL.com recently that asking his girlfriend to marry him was way more difficult than any field goal he’s ever kicked:

“(I was) a lot more nervous than kicking a field goal, I’ll tell you that,” Carlson said Thursday at SEC Media Days.
