While some may find it easy to overlook and appreciate little-known special teams performers, Auburn obviously understands the value of having these types of players on the roster. The Tigers proved this yet again Monday as Bill Taylor, one of the nation’s top long snapper prospects, pledged his commitment to the school after Auburn extended him a scholarship offer.
Taylor announced news of his commitment on Twitter Monday:

According to Kohl’s Kicking website, which highlights kicking, punting and snapping, Taylor rates as a five-star prospect and the nation’s No. 2 rated long snapper. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Tuscaloosa native also has offers from Memphis and Samford.
Following Taylor’s commitment, Auburn now has eight total commits lined up for the 2017 recruiting class.
