Auburn’s leading wide receiver is reportedly transferring, and he indicated it wasn’t his choice.

Nathan King of 247Sports reported Monday evening that Kobe Hudson was transferring from Auburn. After his article was published, King shared a screenshot from Hudson’s Instagram story in which the sophomore wideout said he was kicked off the team. Hudson has since deleted the post from his Instagram story.

Prior to the transfer reports, Hudson shared an Instagram post indicating he was leaving Auburn, but did not use the word “transfer.”

Hudson led all Auburn pass-catchers in 2021 with 44 catches for 580 yards and 4 touchdowns. A Lagrange, Georgia native, Hudson was rated 4-stars, the No. 19 wide receiver and No. 111 prospect overall in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite. He picked up 22 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
