Another day, another transfer at Auburn.

According to his Twitter account, wide receiver Tar’Varish Dawson will forgo the final 5 games and enter the transfer portal. He finishes his time on The Plains with 2 catches for 30 yards.

A former 4-star recruit, Dawson is now the 10th member of the 2021 recruiting class to exit the program for greener pastures. This past week, fellow 2021 recruits defensive tackle Zykeivous Walker, receiver Landen King and cornerback A.D. Diamond all announced their intent to transfer as well.

Dawson began the season as the Tigers’ starting slot receiver, but barely saw action following Week 2’s win over San Jose State. Since then, Dawson’s name has fluctuated on and off the depth chart, most recently appearing with the 2nd-team unit.

According to 247Sports, Dawson did not travel with the team to Georgia and Ole Miss earlier this month. When asked during the bye week of his status, Tigers coach Bryan Harsin told reporters that Dawson was still practicing with the team and would be part of the rotation moving forward.

Since Harsin’s arrival, the Tigers have lost 19 of the 50 signees from the past 4 cycles (2019-22). Auburn will play host Arkansas this Saturday at noon E.T.
