Baker Mayfield at less than 100 percent? Georgia may face a hindered Heisman winner

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield may be a bit under the weather.
That’s big news considering the nation’s second-ranked Sooners are scheduled to play No. 3 Georgia in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1 for a chance to move on to the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
ESPN’s Chris Fowler tweeted out well wishes for Mayfield on Thursday — just four days before the New Year’s Day showdown in Pasadena.
Fowler said he hopes Mayfield will be 100 percent on Monday. The longtime broadcaster noted that Mayfield’s cold/flu sounded “awful” at practice.
Four days seems like a fair amount of time for the Heisman Trophy-winning QB to get well, though it probably depends on just how sick he is.
This will likely be a key story line in the days leading up to Monday’s Rose Bowl.
The game is set for a 5 p.m. ET kickoff and will be televised on ESPN.
Certainly hope @baker_mayfield6 is well enough to play at 100% Monday. if he were an announcer instead of QB, he’d be in trouble! Cold/flu Sounded awful at practice. Old fashioned bed rest needed. @OU_Football probably eager to hear about any homespun remedies. #RoseBowl
