Missouri coach Barry Odom announced on Tuesday afternoon that Chris Mills will be out “indefinitely” after suffering a knee injury in the Tigers’ victory over West Virginia on Saturday.

“The one injury we had the other day, Chris Mills, defensive back. Had a knee injury and he’ll be out indefinitely,” Odom said on Tuesday. “Hate it, because he was making so much progress. He got hurt on a special teams play late in the game but he’ll be out for some time.”

Mills, a redshirt freshman cornerback out of Converse, Texas, had seen playing time on special teams this season. He recorded an assisted tackle against the Mountaineers.

Ranked a 3-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals in the 2018 signing class, Mills chose Missouri over BYU, Arizona, Michigan State, Virginia and others.
