Barry Odom jokes about using a Mizzou student to kick extra points

To say the Mizzou kicking game is a disaster at the moment would be an understatement.

After Tucker McCann missed two field goals in a season-opening loss to West Virginia, the Tigers turned to Turner Adams.

However, in Saturday’s blowout 61-21 victory over Eastern Michigan, Adams missed an extra point, so first-year coach Barry Odom went back to McCann, who then promptly missed his first extra point attempt.

Odom said on his radio show Monday night that he almost took drastic action to try to find a reliable kicker:

So, Mizzou students, if you’re going to this Saturday’s game against Georgia, wear proper footwear. You never know if Odom might need a kicker again.
