Ever since receiver Emanuel Hall sustained a groin injury against Purdue on Sept. 15, Missouri has been looking for an answer for its suddenly struggling passing attack.

The Tigers’ search will continue this week.

Hall will likely miss Saturday’s game at No. 1 Alabama, Missouri coach Barry Odom said during his Tuesday press conference. As dire as that news is, the Tigers anticipate every other player who sat out last weekend’s loss at South Carolina to return to action.

Hall’s injury still stings, especially given this week’s matchup. The senior’s big-play tendencies (23.9 yards per catch) could pose a serious problem to an inexperienced Crimson Tide secondary that has been ravaged by injuries.

If anything, having Hall would likely help quarterback Drew Lock return to early-season form. Hall compiled 18 catches for 430 yards and three scores before being limited against No. 2 Georgia and sitting out against South Carolina.

We’ll see if Missouri (3-2, 0-2 SEC) can create more plays in his absence when it visits Alabama (6-0, 3-0) at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday.
