Barryn Sorrell had a NFL Draft moment to remember on Saturday.

The Texas edge rusher was in the draft’s green room in Green Bay as the fourth round got underway. He had arrived in town the night before and had an opportunity to meet NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

On Saturday, Sorrell got the call he was waiting for, and it was from the Packers. Watch as Goodell announces Sorrell’s name to the group gathered at Lambeau Field — which is often reserved for the earlier rounds of the event. It was certainly an emotional moment for Sorrell, as you can see below:

Sorrell, a New Orleans native, is coming off a season where he totaled 44 tackles, 6.0 sacks, and 11 tackles for a loss. For his career, he posted 132 tackles, 15.5 sacks, and 26 TFLs.

He’ll now join the Packers, and if the reception he received on Saturday is any indication of what he can expect during the fall, it shouldn’t take him long to get comfortable at his new home.

Sorrell was the 124th overall pick of the draft and the 22nd selection of the 4th round. Earlier in the afternoon, teammate Gunnar Helm, a tight end, was taken by the Tennessee Titans.
