Beau Pribula will be continuing his collegiate career at Mizzou, he announced on Sunday evening.
The former Penn State quarterback garnered interest from numerous top programs after entering the portal earlier this month, but it’s Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers who reportedly land his signature in the end.
Pribula is not with the Nittany Lions during their Playoff push, instead opting to prioritize finding a future landing spot. That decision, while somewhat controversial, was supported by Penn State coach James Franklin.
Pribula served as Penn State’s backup quarterback this season, but he also had a role in the team’s offense in certain situations as a runner. He carried the ball 38 times for 242 yards and 4 touchdowns this season.
As a passer, Pribula has not seen much high-leverage work during his time with the Nittany Lions. This season, he completed 26-of-35 passes for 275 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. His only run of extended playing time in a competitive game this season was against Wisconsin when starter Drew Allar had to exit due to an injury. Against the Badgers, he went 11-of-13 for 98 yards and a touchdown.
With Brady Cook now out of eligibility, Mizzou needs an answer at quarterback for the 2025 season. Pribula could compete for the starting role beginning this spring. He’ll have 2 seasons eligibility remaining.
Mizzou will face Iowa in its bowl game on Dec. 30.
