We weren’t going to do it. We really weren’t.
However, there were just too many funny ones out there for us to not share the best of all the Cam Newton memes that were created after the Carolina Panthers lost 24-10 to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night.
If it’s any consolation, Newton is only 26 years old, and he has plenty of time to get back to the big game.
Consider that he lost his primary receiver, Kelvin Benjamin, before the season even started. Then, his leading receiver didn’t even turn out to be a receiver. It was tight end Greg Olsen with team-highs in targets (123), receptions (77) and receiving yards (1,104).
Oh, and the Panthers were the highest-scoring team in the NFL during the regular season (31.3 points per game).
With that said, have a chuckle.
