The Big 12 is bringing a Super Bowl-type performance to its conference title game.

The conference announced Wednesday that Nelly will headline the halftime show of the 2023 Dr. Pepper Big 12 Football Championship, slated for Dec. 12, along with performances from the marching bands of both teams.

The halftime show will include additional fan experiences that will be announced at a later date.

“We are thrilled to announce Nelly will be joining our school’s marching bands to perform at the first-ever Big 12 Football Championship halftime show,” Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark said in a press release. “The Big 12 is committed to living at the intersection of sports and culture and introducing Championship enhancements that are best in class.”

The halftime show is far from the first that Nelly has performed. The three-time Grammy Award winning artist performed at Super Bowl XXXV and Super Bowl XXXVIII along with the 2022 NFL Division Playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Big 12 Championship Game will be played at 11 a.m. CT on Dec. 2.
