Football is a physical game, just ask Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster.
The senior revealed to Bama Online that he had a black eye following a big hit on Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly.
“I tried to follow through,” Foster admitted Tuesday afternoon. “But when it was said and done, I had a black eye at the end of that. … He was hard to hit.”

What’s strange is that Foster is the one making the tackle and leveling the senior quarterback. When asked if it was normal for a defensive player to sustain a black eye while wearing a helmet after recording a tackle, Foster responded by saying, “I don’t know,” with a chuckle, “but he’s a tough guy.”
The senior recorded 12 of his team-best 29 tackles during Alabama’s 48-43 win over Ole Miss in Week 3.
