Kevin Warren could reportedly be making the jump from college football back into the NFL.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Warren is a strong candidate for the vacant President/CEO position with the Chicago Bears. Per the reports, the B1G commissioner has interviewed in person with the team, and is among a select few finalists for the position.

The position with the Bears would be a return to the NFL for Warren, who was previously an executive with the Vikings. Warren spent over fourteen years in Minnesota, including a stint as the chief operating officer with the organization. Prior to landing in Minneapolis, Warren spent time with the Rams and Lions.

In 2020, Warren succeeded Jim Delany as B1G Commissioner. In that two years, Warren oversaw the expansion of the B1G to include USC and UCLA in 2024, while also bringing in a $7 billion media rights and distribution deal for the conference.

The Bears President/CEO search is expected to conclude in the next several weeks.
