The Minnesota Vikings are moving on from Laquon Treadwell.
There are probably a number of reasons why Treadwell didn’t pan out in Minnesota, but his production was minimal. He caught just 56 passes for 517 yards and one touchdown during his three-year NFL career.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the Vikings will attempt to trade Treadwell, and if they can’t, they’ll release him. Minnesota drafted Treadwell with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Treadwell racked up 202 catches for 2,393 yards and 21 touchdowns during his three-year career at Ole Miss. His sophomore season in 2014 was cut short due to injury.
The Crete, Illinois, was a prized signee by Hugh Freeze and the Rebels. He was ranked as the nation’s No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 14 overall prospect in the class of 2013, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
