As we get deeper into March, that means more than the NCAA basketball tournament; it means spring practice is getting into high gear. This week, five more SEC programs kick off their first football practices of the 2015 season: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State and South Carolina.
All around the SEC, there are questions marks on every roster. The five teams starting practice this week are no different. From replacing stars to scheme changes, there is plenty to work out.
The five teams getting going this week will have to answer these questions above all else as they open up their first practices of the new season.
Arkansas — How will Robb Smith make up for the loss of stars Trey Flowers, Martrell Spaight and Darius Philon on defense?
Florida — Who will win go into fall practices with the lead in the quarterback competition, Will Grier or Treon Harris?
Georgia — Will one of the quarterbacks (Brice Ramsey, Jacob Park, Faton Bauta) separate themselves from the pack and earn Brian Schottenheimer’s trust?
Mississippi State — How will the Bulldogs handle all of the departures along the offensive line, including All-SEC performer Ben Beckwith?
South Carolina — Is Connor Mitch ready to be the starting quarterback after sitting behind Dylan Thompson in 2014?
