Billy Napier announces hiring of offensive coordinator, OL coach to Florida staff

Billy Napier has his offensive coordinator. Rob Sale has officially been hired to Napier’s Florida coaching staff.

Sale reunites with Napier after a season in the NFL with the New York Giants. At Louisiana, Sale was Napier’s offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for 3 seasons (2018-20). Sale will also coach offensive lineman under Napier at Florida. Napier will have 2 offensive line coaches at UF. Darnell Stapleton, who was on staff at Louisiana, was previously hired as an on-field offensive line coach.
Sale and Napier also worked together at Arizona State (2017) and Alabama (2011). Sale has additional SEC coaching experience as Georgia’s offensive line coach in 2015. He played college football at LSU.
While Sale will have the title of offensive coordinator, Napier said in his introductory press conference at Florida that he will call plays.
