Billy Napier has completely turned things around for himself and the Florida Gators down the back half of the season, but it has been more than just the head coach rising to the occasion after facing a serious risk of losing his job. Napier credits the effort of his players, which includes freshman linebacker Myles Graham.
Graham has really come on down the stretch and should give Gators fans a lot of reason for optimism in the coming years on the defensive side of the ball, with the whole team overall looking to be on a much more positive trajectory.
“(I’m impressed with) how bright he is and how he retains information,” Napier said in his press conference during the week. “He’s getting into a rhythm now.”

Graham finished out Saturday’s 24-17 upset victory over the No. 9-ranked Ole Miss Rebels with 4 solo tackles, making an impact in Florida’s strongest and most notable victory of the season. So far into 2024, the first-year defender tallies 26 combined tackles (7 solo) with 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.
He will have a chance to keep impressing as the Gators look to finish strong against the Florida State Seminoles in Rivalry Week. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Saturday in Noles country.
