Billy Napier trolled by Lane Kiffin after narrow miss during College GameDay challenge

Billy Napier had a bit of an unorthodox College GameDay segment ahead of Florida’s Week 13 matchup against No. 9 Ole Miss.
The crew usually interviews the head coach of a noon kickoff game, and it’s usually a pretty mild affair. Not this time around, though. Pat McAfee challenged Napier halfway through his interview, insisting he would donate $1 million to hurricane relief if Napier could hit the crossbar from the 25-yard line with the football he was carrying.
You can tell the former Furman QB was a bit out of his comfort zone, but he came very close to doing just that. Shortly after, Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin texted Gameday host Kirk Herbstreit insisting he would have hit the crossbar.
Good ole Lane. Check out Napier’s attempt below:
Florida #Gators Billy Napier got peer pressured by ESPN College GameDay crew into trying to hit the crossbar from 25 yards out for $1 million to charity. The ex-Furman QB got close.
Lane Kiffin then texted Kirk Herbstreit: “I woulda hit the crossbar.”https://t.co/A09kBWioIj

Napier’s Gators face a tough challenge Saturday against the Rebels, but they’ve faced this kind of adversity plenty this season. The Gators danced with Tennessee earlier in the year and downed LSU last week. Florida now sits just 1 win away from 6 wins on the season – 1 win from a bowl berth.
It starts with QB DJ Lagway. If Napier and Co. can get a strong game from their freshman talent they can absolutely keep this thing close, but Ole Miss has been playing excellent football as of late thanks to its stout defense. In other words, it’s a tall ask for the Gators freshman to overcome one of the best-performing defensive units in the country on Saturday.
We’ll what he’s made of very soon. Saturday’s matchup between Florida and Ole Miss is set to kick off at Noon on ABC from The Swamp.
