Bo Nix getting roasted by fans, as Georgia State leads Auburn at halftime

Auburn entered Saturday as a heavy favorite against Georgia State. However, it seems the end result of the matchup between the Tigers and Panthers may be closer than many anticipated. And there may even be an upset in the works.

As Auburn struggled early, junior quarterback Bo Nix was having trouble leading the Tigers’ offense down the field. They punted the ball away on their first drive and settled for field goals on their next 4 possessions, before punting again on their final drive of the first half.

Georgia State led, 24-12, at halftime, while Nix was 11-for-22 for 128 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He also had 2 carries for no yards.

Many expected Nix to take a big step forward in 2021, but he hasn’t quite lived up to those expectations through the first 3 1/2 games of Auburn’s season. And it didn’t take long for Tigers fans to start voicing their frustrations regarding Nix on Twitter on Saturday.
