Bo Nix won’t play in this year’s Iron Bowl, as the Auburn quarterback suffered a season-ending injury 2 weeks ago.
But, that didn’t stop him from adding some fuel to the fire that is the intense rivalry between the Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
During an appearance on “The Next Round” on Monday, Nix pointed to some controversial calls going Alabama’s way during a narrow win over Arkansas on Saturday. You can hear him shade SEC officials below:

“Yeah, I did,” Nix said when asked if he saw Bryce Young’s big performance. “I also saw Arkansas almost did the same thing.”
Then, Nix pointed out some key calls that went Alabama’s way:
“Just a few of those obviously controversial calls that were in that game, it raises some questions, for sure, I guess, unless you’re an Alabama fan,” he said. “That’s just part of the game. We’ve discussed it over and over and over. That’s not going to change, no matter what happens. It was a good game, for sure.”
The hosts gave Nix a chance to clarify those comments and he doubled down:
“I think, legitimately, you watch the game and anybody who is unbiased would think something is different,” he said. “It is what it is. It’s kinda how it has always been. It’s part of the game. And they have good players. Can’t take that away from them.”
It seems Alabama players might have some extra bulletin-board material after those comments.
