Bowling Green State kicker lays massive hit on Western Michigan returner
Bowling Green State Kicker Mason Lawler showed he is not afraid to make contact.
Lawler kicked off to Western Michigan returner Sean Tyler. The short kick was fielded at the 9 yard-line, and Tyler took it to about the 40 before being trucked on the sideline by Lawler.

The tackle was just Lawler’s 2nd of the 2022 season. Clearly, the kicker is not afraid to lay a hit if the opportunity arises, however. Tyler, to his credit, is a solid returner for the Broncos. He had a kickoff return for a TD in Week 4 against San Jose State.
Lawler’s Falcons currently have a 13-0 lead over the Broncos in the 3rd quarter. The Falcons are looking to improve to 4-1 in MAC play after going 2-6 in the conference in 2021.
