Brady Slavens is in the College World Series record books.
Not many college baseball players go over the wall in the straightaway center, but the Arkansas designated hitter went 436 feet on a solo home run in Wednesday night’s College World Series semifinal against Ole Miss.

Slavens’ long home run put Arkansas up 2-1 on Ole Miss. NCAA Baseball’s official Twitter account noted that it’s the longest home run of the 2022 college world series.

The ESPN broadcast noted a more impressive record. It’s the longest College World Series home run hit at the current park, Charles Schwab Field (previously known as TD Ameritrade Park). Per NCAA.com, 2 players, Eduoardo Julien (Auburn, 2019) and Pete Alonso (Florida, 2015), previously hit CWS home runs of 429 feet in the park’s history.
Did you know⁉️ @brady_slavens is the 3rd player to ever hit a home run in any college game into the gap between the seats in CF at @CharlesSchwabFO, joining Florida’s Peter Alonso and Florida State’s Dylan Busby . Like Slavens; Alonso & Busby’s homers also came during the #MCWS. pic.twitter.com/VAUFv3abc0
